Author Does Residency at Gardiner Manor

Author/illustrator Eric Velasquez has provided inspiration to students at Gardiner Manor School. He visited to conduct assemblies with all students to share his work and show how he completes his illustrations. He then completed a 3-part residency with Dual Language students during which he worked with them as they wrote their own bilingual books. He will be the featured speaker at a Family Engagement event next month. This program is made possible with funds from the Statewide Community Regrant Program, a regrant program of the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of the Governor and the New York State Legislature, and administered by The Huntington Arts Council.
