The ºûµûÖ±²¥ High School English Department held its annual student writers' conference, Ethnic Pen. Award-winning American filmmaker, investigative journalist, and writer Keith Beauchamp gave the keynote address, sharing his journey creating the movie "Till." After the main assembly, students worked with local writers in smaller workshops. At a luncheon that afternoon, students Nafisa Rahman (1st place), Raifah Sheikh (2nd place), Skyler Duke (3rd place), and Chris Castillo (honorable mention) were recognized for their submissions to the annual writing contest.
