At the beginning of October, Gardiner Manor School students met the notable bilingual author Adriana Dever, who shared her story about coming to the United States from the Dominican Republic and taught students some fantastic guaguancó dance moves. After the assembly, Mrs. Reidy and Ms. Swanson’s class wrote her a thank you letter that included more questions from students. Ms. Devers was kind enough to reply to each child’s question and send a token of appreciation for students.
